I have been making jewellery for over a decade and obsessing about it my whole life. I‘ve always been fascinated with silver jewellery and love researching and collecting wearable art, particularly from Eastern cultures.

Deciding to make jewellery was always about the crafting. As a natural product of the Earth, I had the utmost reverence for silver and taught myself traditional techniques and ways to work the metal. But what direction to take? I didn’t want any part in the superficial world of fast fashion trends and mass production. The cultures that I was drawn to were able to combine aesthetics with function. why couldn’t jewellery be beautiful yet meaningful too?

I was aware that people were falling out of touch with the Earth, so I chose to address that disconnect in my nature-inspired Jewellery. Flowers, leaves and gemstones decorated my work. I started making silver rollerball pendants to hold essential oils and spinner rings. Things began to click into place when my daughter reignited my interest in crystal healing.

Everyday My pockets were overflowing with nature’s treasures: acorns, and seeds, stones, shells… and now crystals. As a way to keep them with me, I started setting crystals in silver and saw a chance to make jewellery that could transcend aesthetics: jewellery that could become something meaningful, something spiritual in nature.

The jewellery I make is made with intent. It is mindfully crafted, handmade with love of the materials and a firm belief that we can change our world. Every crystal is thoughtfully selected for the positive influences they can bring into your life. Each piece is truly unique, just like we are.

With Earth and nature always in mind, I hope you find a treasure that speaks to you here at Ornate Alchemy.
