About Lapis Lazuli
Lapis Lazuli has been used throughout history: it is present in Tutankhamen’s death mask and is the incredible blue in the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
The brighter the colour, the more prized the stone. Lapis Lazuli was crushed to make the pigment known as ultramarine.
Lapis Lazuli was a stone of royalty - it was believed to be a source of untapped power which could be accessed through deep meditation.
